First of all: I hate these things. I mean, I reeeeeeally hate having to do these. Not because I'm not good at telling people what they should or shouldn't do, but because it's a pain and a half to try and enforce anything over the Internet, and invariably, anything that I do online, I just want to have fun with.
However, there are a few basic expectations worth laying out. So, to be clear on what is and is not allowable in this forum:
1. Respect. Don't pick needless fight, don't post offensive stuff, etc. etc. I don't care so much if you want to criticize something produced on the site, but follow the word of Bill and Ted: "be GOOD to each other!"
2. Content advisory: PG-13. The Scribblery is a PG-13 website. We're happy to allow plenty of things on our forum, such as letting people swear to their heart's content, but we draw the line at things pornographic. I don't want to have to explain to my folks why there's naked chicks making out on the forum for my website, so please, spare me?
And for now... that's all. Really, if you can manage respect and understand the content limitations, you're perfectly welcome here! That's all we need to enforce. Just... try not to make us change that, all right?
