YAAAAY all right, here we go! This is the all-in-one New to the Neighborhood thread, to give people a wading pool when they're getting used to the forum.
If you're new, come here and say hi! Tell us a bit about yourself, what your interests are, so forth.
To start things off:
Hello to everyone, I'm Scribbler!
I'm 21 years old, and I live on the West Coast. I enjoy writing, drawing, video games, comics, foreign languages, political sciences, philosophy, and plenty more. I also like to act, but I don't get so many opportunities for that.
My favorite author is Lois McMaster Bujold, and my top five favorite webcomics are: Dresden Codak, Order of the Stick and Erfworld, Looking for Group, and Dominic Deegan. There are plenty more I enjoy besides that, and maybe I'll make a link page for them someday, but that's good for now.
The last video game I finished playing was "FFVII: Crisis Core", and before that, "Assassin's Creed". I'm playing a lot of "Rock Band II" right now, trying to practice doing the guitar and singing simultaneously. The last book I finished reading was Sun Tzu's "The Art of War", and I'm looking forward to reading "The Prince" by Nicollo Machiavelli as soon as I can.
The Scribblery is pretty much what's going on in my life now; I'm gearing up to take a bunch of science classes to finish the requirements for my Associate's degree at a local community college, after which I'm trying to decide what degree to pursue for my Bachelor's. I've been penning Ephemera for the past month or so, and am looking forward to continuing it and other projects as time and inspiration allows.
Pleasure to meet you all!
